Welcome to Year 6

Year Six is part of the ‘Upper Phase’ in our school. Mrs Brown is the phase leader and her role is to support the staff, children and families. We aim to ensure that your child has a happy and engaging year, whilst also striving for high standards in learning, progress and achievement as we work towards end of KS2 SATs. By the end of Year 6, we hope to equip our pupils with a wide range of skills that they need to continue blossoming as learners. We envisage making this year a memorable one for all, as the children begin to embark on the journey into secondary school and beyond...

We have an exciting year ahead as we begin our new enriched curriculum. Our topics will include: Rising from the Rubble, Frozen Planet and Kingdom of Benin. All of these will encourage the children to use their independence and research skills to discover more about their learning of these subjects.
