I was elected as a Parent Governor in October 2020 and have 2 children currently attending the school.

I have worked at the Department for Education for over 10 years and currently work in the Apprenticeships Directorate within the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Here, I have led in the development and delivery of services and have also been involved in the policy work. Prior to this, I held project management and test development roles in the Standards & Testing Agency. I am also a qualified secondary English teacher and have taught in Warwick.

As a Governor, I am involved in the quality of education group focusing on English, History and MFL. I also link in with work on the school's apprenticeship programme. It is a privilege to use my experience to support Manor Park in continuing to offer a high standard of education and pastoral support to all children and to help shape initiatives that further benefit school life.

Outside of work, I am kept busy with family life and take every opportunity to visit Cornwall, my home county when I catch up with family, friends and enjoy the (much needed!) therapy of coastal walks.
