Mrs Debs Ridgewell

Originally from Newcastle, I moved to Coventry in 2002 to attend Coventry University where I graduated with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Disaster Management. I met my husband not long after graduation and we’ve been married 12 years.  I worked as a nanny throughout university and then in administration before leaving work to stay home with our 3 children who all attend Manor Park. My husband Chris currently teaches in year 4 and I have been chair of the PTA for nearly 2 years.

As you can see I’m very invested in the life of the school and, as a parent Governor, I’m committed to seeing: all children receiving the best opportunities and education possible, staff feeling supported and developed, and parents feeling involved in the school community.  School staff have an incredible opportunity to impact the lives of so many children and families and it’s really exciting to be a part of it.

In my free time I love to bake and make wedding cakes and birthday cakes for friends. I’m currently considering what‘s next for me in the world of work now that the children are all at school.
